Great advances made in the field of medical science have resulted in reduced mortality and morbidity associated with HIV and AIDS in recent time. The advent of anti retroviral therapy, combined with greater understanding of HIV epidemiology and concerted efforts by stakeholders at the highest level means that tides has been turn in many part of the world, including Malaysia. Since reaching its peak in 1999, incidence of new HIV infection in our country has steadily decline on year-to-year basis.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that we should not be complacent in our collective response towards HIV and AIDS issue, especially so when as at December 2010, 10 Malaysian are diagnosed with HIV every day, adding to the 90,000 Malaysian already living with HIV. Supports for People Living With HIV must continue, and efforts to improve access to treatment must be intensified.

You can show your support by donating to PAL Scheme, a unique fundraising initiative by the Malaysian AIDS Foundation that aims to assist underprivileged Malaysians living with HIV get their medication. You PAL needs you!
